Summary: The role of Cyber Security Engineer involves supporting an overstretched BAU team and managing key security remediation projects on a contract basis in Manchester. The position requires hands-on experience with various security tools and practices, particularly in Azure Cloud and endpoint management. The engineer will be responsible for implementing security measures to enhance device and identity security. Strong stakeholder management skills are also essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement certificate-based authentication to prevent unauthorised device access.
  • Design and execute a plan for third-party onboarding process.
  • Work with Azure Cloud, Intune, and endpoint management tools to improve identity, access, and device security.
  • Support rollout of Windows 11, ensuring compliance and endpoint hardening.
