Summary: The role of a Cyber Security Engineer involves supporting an overburdened BAU team and managing key security remediation projects on a contract basis in Manchester. The position requires hands-on experience with various security tools and technologies, particularly in implementing certificate-based authentication and enhancing endpoint security. The engineer will also be responsible for onboarding third-party processes and ensuring compliance during the rollout of Windows 11. This position is critical for improving the organization's overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement certificate-based authentication to prevent unauthorised device access.
  • Design and execute a plan for third-party onboarding process.
  • Work with Azure Cloud, Intune, and endpoint management tools to improve identity, access, and device security.
  • Support rollout of Windows 11, ensuring compliance and endpoint hardening.
