Summary: The Cybersecurity Technical Consultant role involves working with a client in Bristol on a one-year contract, focusing on enhancing cybersecurity measures in a hybrid cloud environment. The consultant will document existing IT security controls and implement necessary security measures while working on-site 2-3 days a week. The position requires significant experience in cybersecurity, particularly with Microsoft tools and cloud environments. The client is looking for a quick start following interviews scheduled for next week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Document existing IT security controls and their implementation in existing IT Security Tools.
• Identify and document FCI and CUI storage, processing, and access.
• Implement IT Security controls in cloud environments using tools such as MS Purview.
• Enhance the cybersecurity posture of SME defense contractors.
• Utilize Microsoft Defender security suite, Darktrace, MS Compliance centre, KnowBe4, patch management, and VPN.

Key Skills:

• Minimum 7 years' experience as a Cyber Security Technical Consultant.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview and hybrid cloud environments (M365 Gov Cloud, NetSuite, Azure).
• Ability to uplift cybersecurity posture with minimal documentation.
• Hands-on experience with IT Security controls and data protection measures.
