Summary: The Cyber Security Engineer will be a key member of the Cyber Operations Team, focusing on the Cyber Improvement Programme with an emphasis on optimizing Sentinel and Defender systems. This role involves collaboration with the Cyber Operations Manager and project manager to enhance the organization's cyber security infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:
- Upgrade of Sentinel workspace environment
- Optimisation of Sentinel instances across the organisations estate
- Integration between Sentinel and Defender to the current MS best practice
- Support the Delivery Lead with meeting the requirements of the Cyber Improvement Programme
- Working with the other IT Operations teams to ensure minimal disruption through effective planning
- Deliver and maintain the cyber elements that underpins programme delivery
- Ensure tasks are prioritised and delivered in accordance with programme requirements.
- Provide technical subject matter expertise for the programme.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of cyber security principles and practices.
- Experience with MS Defender and Sentinel
- Experience working with IT systems and networks in a professional setting.
- Familiarity with public sector security regulations and compliance requirements.
