Summary: Our client, a leading consultancy firm, is looking for an experienced Cyber Security Engineer for a 12-month contract. The role focuses on supporting security initiatives across cloud, infrastructure, and endpoint environments, particularly emphasizing Microsoft Azure and Entra ID. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in cloud security engineering and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud security controls, particularly within Microsoft Azure and Entra ID environments
- Operate and enhance core security platforms including: Absolute (endpoint visibility & control), Rapid7 (vulnerability management), CrowdStrike (EDR/XDR), Sumo Logic (SIEM/log analytics)
- Maintain and improve network security, leveraging technologies such as: Palo Alto firewalls, CASB solutions, Secure Web Gateway technologies
- Align security operations with frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST Cybersecurity Framework
- Provide security support during data center migrations and other infrastructure changes, including: SD-WAN implementations, Windows 11 hardening, Cloud iManage environments
- Deliver advisory input across IT projects, contributing to broader IT simplification initiatives
- Support BAU operations as needed, working alongside other engineers in day-to-day security functions
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
