Summary: The Cyber Security Engineer role involves managing cybersecurity projects for a globally recognized automotive company based in Cranfield. The position requires coordination with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with cybersecurity regulations and effective communication with legal and compliance teams. The role is a long-term contract that may extend for several years, with a hybrid working pattern of three days in the office and two days working from home. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the coordination and schedule alignment with all relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with UN-R155.
  • Lead progress reports on Cybersecurity topics at management meetings and vehicle milestone meetings.
  • Understand the capability required for the future and coordinate on the number of people needed to build the team.
  • Lead regular communication and coordination with Legal and Compliance teams.
  • Lead the activity of hearing and communicating from suppliers for information required for Cybersecurity.
  • Lead in resolving issues related to Cybersecurity.
  • Request Cybersecurity requirements at the right time during system development.
  • Keep up to date with the latest trends and features in iOS, Android, and Cloud and consider their impact on Cybersecurity.
  • Establish the process of Cybersecurity implementation plan.
  • Prepare Cybersecurity Implementation Plan, Status Update, and Meeting Minutes.
  • Ensure CSMS Certification.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in developing and/or maintaining IT systems.
  • Ability to project manage and discuss with cybersecurity engineers.
  • Experience negotiating with certification authorities.
  • Understanding of UN-R155 and ISO21434.
  • Superior project management and organizational skills; PMP or Prince2 is a plus.
  • Superior cybersecurity knowledge and understanding of process; CISSP or equivalent is a plus.
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
  • Understanding of Agile and Waterfall software development.
  • Competent with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Competent with PC applications including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask between multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivating, self-managing, and proactive.
  • Flexible regarding working practice and working hours.
  • Ability to travel abroad, typically a few days to 2 weeks, with potential for long-distance travel at short notice.
  • Fluent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Engineering or Computer Science Degree qualified.
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in the IT Industry.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall processes.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Business level of Japanese communication is a plus.

Cyber Security Engineer (983) Cranfield £31.86 p/h Working Patten- 3 days in the office 2 days WFH- (this may vary depending on workload) We are recruiting a Cyber Security Engineer for one of our automotive clients based in Cranfield. You will be working for a globally recognised automotive company. This is a long-term contract role. The contract is on an ongoing basis a may run for several years.

Key Responsibilities of the Body Electronics Engineer: As a Connected Car Cybersecurity Project Manager, you will develop a deep working knowledge of the features that make up Nissans Connected Car offering and use this to:

  • Lead the coordination and schedule alignment with all relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with UN-R155
  • Lead progress reports on Cybersecurity topics at management meeting and vehicle milestone meetings.
  • Understanding the capability required for the future and coordinating on the number of people needed to build the team.
