Summary: The Security Consultant role involves supporting a program aimed at enhancing Security and Resilience across four Interconnector locations. The consultant will collaborate with Project Managers and operational stakeholders to implement security improvements. This position requires SC clearance and a hybrid working arrangement. The contract duration is six months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse Security control gaps and risks and work with subject matter experts and suppliers to formalise improvements to Hardware, Software and Operational Policies, Standards Processes or procedures.
  • Update or create technical and operational documentation including system specifications, network topology/data flow diagrams, process flows work instructions and operational guides.
  • Asset discovery, logging and assessment against target security control.

Key Skills:

  • Strong understanding of IT/OT infrastructure and networks (Incl Servers, workstations (Firewalls and Switches etc).
  • Understanding of security controls and their application in IT/OT environments (Incl: Device Hardening, Vulnerability Management, Patching, Anti Virus, Recovery approach and methods).
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to author and/or update technical or procedural documentation.
  • Vetting and Clearance.

Location: Warwick CV34 6DA - Hybrid (3 days per week)
Duration: 6 months contract

Role Description:
As the Security Consultant you will support the program to deliver Security and Resilience
improvements throughout the four Interconnector locations. Once formalised you will work
with Project Managers and operational stakeholders to plan delivery of the improvements.
