Cyber Security Consultant - OI Process Alignment & Supplier OnboardingV
Defence programme seeking a Cyber Security Consultant to join the Operational Integrator (OI) function, supporting the onboarding of new service providers into a multi-supplier (SIAM) environment. You'll translate established security processes, policies and governance into structured onboarding materials, work with Security Assurance, Incident and Vulnerability Management leads to ensure supplier processes are understood and evidenced, and support a consistent, controlled onboarding approach across multiple Service Commencement Dates.
Rate:
£580-£595/day, Inside IR35
Duration: 6 Months (extension possible)
Location: Preston, London or Birmingham - Hybrid (30% office/70% home)
Clearance: SC required - must have been actively used within the last 12 months, with a minimum of 3 months remaining to allow time for interview, offer and clearance transfer. Sole UK nationality required.

You'll need:
- Experience in cyber security governance, GRC or security process roles
- Experience working in multi-supplier or SIAM environments
- Strong understanding of security processes including Incident Management, Vulnerability Management and Security Assurance
- Ability to interpret operational outputs (eg SOC reporting) without direct tool ownership
- Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills
- Experience supporting audit, compliance and assurance activities
- Experience working in transition or transformation programmes
- Knowledge of NIST CSF, Secure by Design principles and NCSC/UK Government security guidance desirable
- Experience in defence or other high-security environments desirable
