Summary: The Cyber Security Consultant role involves providing expert consultation on security architecture and design for a Luxury Automotive OEM in Manchester. The position requires conducting security reviews, developing architectural solutions, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure secure systems. This is a 12-month initial contract with hybrid working arrangements, requiring 2-3 days per week onsite. Applicants must have valid eligibility to work full-time in the UK and travel within the EU.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing consultation to product teams in security architecture and design.
- Conducting security reviews of new and existing products and services.
- Developing and owning architectural solutions that deliver high security standards.
- Collaborating closely with the Solution Architecture team to ensure systems are secure by design.
- Working with engineering teams to create threat models.
Key Skills:
- Software engineering with DevSecOps.
- Knowledge of cyber security best practices, security threats, and controls.
- Experience in application security and threat modeling.
- Understanding of the SDLC process, technology, and automation in a DevOps environment, including OWASP best practices.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks.
