Summary: We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst (Contractor) to enhance and procure Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) services. This role is crucial in driving the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, ensuring alignment of business and technical requirements with our security strategy. The successful candidate will engage with stakeholders and manage documentation throughout the RFP lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively contribute to the RFP process from a Business Analyst perspective, including supporting or leading documentation, stakeholder engagement, and vendor evaluation activities.
- Work closely with internal teams to gather, define, and document both business and technical requirements related to MSSP, SIEM, and EDR solutions.
- Perform gap analyses to identify differences between current capabilities and desired outcomes.
- Conduct benefits analyses to support strategic decision-making and vendor selection.
- Manage timelines and deliverables independently, ensuring progress is maintained across all activities.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to capture insights and feedback from stakeholders.
- Produce clear, professional documentation, such as business cases, process maps, and analytical reports, particularly where this information is not readily available in BAU.
- Provide support to procurement and technical teams throughout the RFP life cycle.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst on cybersecurity or IT infrastructure projects (experience with MSSP, SIEM, and EDR is highly desirable).
- Strong knowledge of RFP processes, including vendor engagement and selection.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong analytical skills, with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Experience conducting both gap and benefits analyses.
- Familiarity with security standards and frameworks (desirable).
