Summary: The role of Cyber Security Architect involves providing expert advice and guidance on cyber security within government and industry contexts, particularly focusing on Secure By Design principles. The position requires a strong understanding of security policies and frameworks, as well as experience in high and low-level design. The architect will be responsible for ensuring security governance and successful outcomes for managed systems while supporting various project environments. Current SC clearance is mandatory for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Cyber Security advice and guidance for clients in ‘business as usual’, technical refresh and new project environments.
- Architect with High and Low Level Design experience (HLD / LLD).
- Apply technical security knowledge with creative and innovative thinking in complex contexts.
- Identify and establish good security governance to meet client business requirements.
- Use knowledge of Defence security policy and process to enable successful security outcomes of managed systems.
- Ensure the project is undertaken in a structured way that meets secure by design.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Provide security mitigation technical advice.
- Support the cascade of security requirements to the supply chain.
- Assist with security through life concepts of monitoring, patching, etc.
- Provide SWG engagement technical support.
Key Skills:
- Current SC clearance.
- Experience in Cyber Security architecture.
- Knowledge of Secure By Design (SBD) principles.
- Familiarity with HMG Information Assurance Policies, Standards, and Guidelines.
- Experience in High and Low Level Design (HLD / LLD).
- Ability to apply technical security knowledge creatively.
- Understanding of Defence security policy and processes.
- Strong communication and advisory skills.

12 month outside IR35 contract - *Must have current SC clearance* My client is looking for an Cyber Security Architect who has a wide awareness across Government and Industry to include; Secure By Design (SBD), CISSP, HMG Information, Assurance Policies, Standards and Guidelines, including the Security Policy Framework, the CESG IA Portfolio and MoD JSPs such as JSP440, JSP604 (plus other standard MoD IA methods. What we are looking for:
