Summary: The Cyber Security Architect role involves recommending security controls and solutions to meet business requirements, assessing risks associated with system changes, and providing specialist security advice. The position requires maintaining a comprehensive view of security architecture across various technology environments and establishing governance standards. The role is based on an initial 6-month contract with a hybrid working arrangement, requiring two days per week on-site. The position is classified as inside IR35 due to the use of an umbrella company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recommending security controls and solutions to meet business requirements.
- Assessing risks associated with proposed system changes and recommending security-related controls and technologies.
- Providing specialist security advice and recommending approaches.
- Acting as a consultative function to ensure all solution designs adhere to standards and baselines.
- Maintaining a view of the security architecture across application, information, and operational technology environments.
- Establishing standards for security architecture and providing governance across all technology platforms.
Key Skills:
- Background in IT infrastructure and systems design/operations with knowledge of IT Security activities.
- Experience with cyber security infrastructure technologies, including implementation and configuration.
- Familiarity with security best practices (e.g., ISO27001 or NIST 800-53) and relevant security legislation.
- Experience working with internal and external service providers in regulated environments.
- IT Security Architecture experience including TOGAF and/or SABSA.
- Certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent).
