Summary: The role of Security Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Solution Architect involves leading the design and implementation of security solutions within a hybrid working environment. The position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure compliance with governance and risk management principles while developing strategic cyber control solutions. The architect will also engage in vendor selection and contribute to research initiatives to enhance security measures. This is a temporary contract position based in Glasgow, focusing on delivering significant impact in security architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and define security solution architectures across the organisation, ensuring governance, compliance, and risk management principles are adhered to.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to incorporate solution-specific expertise into decision-making processes.
  • Provide detailed security solution architecture input for strategic architecture projects, ensuring secure solution creation aligned with business outcomes.
  • Ensure all solutions are user-friendly and contribute tangibly to the value of dependent services while integrating seamlessly.
  • Develop reusable solution patterns and briefing documents for the team.
  • Work closely with business and technical teams to oversee the implementation of security solutions.
  • Create and maintain roadmaps for security technologies and processes aligned with relevant strategies and standards.
  • Assist enterprise architects in vendor selection to ensure optimal value for money.
  • Contribute to research initiatives, including proof of concept and proof of value projects.
  • Understand the implications of transformation by engaging with business technology stakeholders.
