Summary: The Cyber Security Analyst role involves conducting in-depth investigations into potential cyber threats, building on initial assessments made by Tier 1 Analysts. This position is crucial for the escalation, triage, and response to cyber incidents, while also aiding in the development and training of Tier 1 team members. The role is based in Farnborough and is offered through a global information technology client. Immediate interviews are being conducted for this urgent vacancy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct deeper investigations into potential threats to the organization.
- Escalate, triage, and respond to cyber incidents.
- Contribute to the growth and training of Tier 1 team members.
Key Skills:
- Strong grasp of networking concepts, IP addressing, and traffic flow.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows and Linux systems.
- Proficient in using SIEM tools like ArcSight and Azure Sentinel.
- Experienced with KQL and basic XDR platforms.
- Familiar with OSINT techniques for threat intelligence and incident investigation.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CySA+, GCIH, and CASP.
- Degree/diploma in Cyber Security or equivalent experience.
- Experience in SOC environments and eligible for SC/DV clearance.
