Summary: We are seeking experienced Cutter Grinders for a long-term contract in Brixworth, Northampton, to support a skilled manufacturing team using advanced Walter grinding technology in a precision motorsport engineering environment. The role involves hands-on experience with Walter grinding platforms and requires both online and offline programming capabilities. Successful candidates will contribute to the manufacture and inspection of precision cutting tools while adhering to strict quality standards. This position offers strong visibility and continuity through to the end of 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the manufacture and inspection of precision cutting tools.
- Operate and program Walter Helitronic grinding machines.
- Perform manual wheel changes and utilize Helitronic ToolStudio for programming.
- Ensure adherence to tight tolerances and quality standards.
- Work independently within a structured production environment.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Cutter Grinder/Tool Grinder.
- Strong hands-on capability with Walter Helitronic grinding machines.
- Experience using Helitronic ToolStudio (online and/or offline programming).
- Understanding of tool inspection processes (Helicheck experience advantageous).
- Ability to work to tight tolerances and quality standards.
- Comfortable working independently within a structured production environment.

Role Overview
We are currently seeking experienced Cutter Grinders to support a busy and highly skilled manufacturing team on a long-term contract assignment. This is an excellent opportunity to work with advanced Walter grinding technology in a precision motorsport engineering environment, with strong visibility and continuity through to the end of 2026.
The successful candidates will work within a specialist tool grinding environment, supporting the manufacture and inspection of precision cutting tools. The role requires strong hands-on experience with Walter grinding platforms, including both online and offline programming capability.

- Manual wheel change

- 1 Walter Helicheck Advanced (inspection)
- 1 Offline Programming Seat
