Summary: The Cutover Manager will oversee the transition from SAP ECC to S/4HANA, focusing on cutover planning and execution. This role requires coordination across technical, data, and business teams to ensure a smooth deployment. The position is a 12-month contract with a hybrid working arrangement, requiring occasional presence in Central London. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing cutover strategies and go-live activities within SAP environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with other key senior stakeholders to define the Cutover Strategy.
- Build and maintain a detailed integrated cutover plan covering all activities.
- Coordinate inputs across technical, functional, and data teams.
- Define timelines including system freeze periods and release windows.
- Lead rehearsal cycles to validate readiness ahead of go-live.
- Take ownership during deployment, coordinating activity end-to-end.
- Manage risks, issues, and escalations during the cutover window.
- Oversee early life support and transition into BAU.
- If able, taking additional ownership of the outstanding Testing items from a Project Management perspective, would be welcome (Performance, Security, OAT).
Key Skills:
- Strong experience operating as a Cutover Lead / Cutover Manager with SAP, ideally on a SAP S/4HANA programme.
- Proven ability to define and deliver the cutover strategy and plan.
- Strong background in planning and executing go-live activities.
- Ability to manage complex dependencies across multiple teams.
- Strong stakeholder engagement across both technical and business audiences.
- Able to deliver across key outcomes including well-executed cutover delivered in line with agreed timelines, all readiness criteria achieved ahead of deployment, and smooth transition into production with minimal disruption.

We’re looking for an experienced Cutover Manager to support a SAP ECC to S/4HANA programme. This role will take ownership of cutover planning and execution, ensuring a controlled and well-coordinated transition into production.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering the overall cutover approach and strategy, bringing together technical, data, and business activities to ensure a smooth deployment. Working across multiple teams, you’ll provide structure and coordination during the final stages of delivery, ensuring everything is aligned ahead of go-live.
