Key Responsibilities:

  • Completion of EDIR’s on the warehousing system
  • Ensuring Northern Irish shipments are processed timeously and compliantly
  • Covering NI shipments on weekends (Sundays with occasional Saturdays)
  • Supporting the team to ensure full accuracy of all declarations completed
  • Follow up declarations until customs clearance is obtained
  • Managing data and producing reports using Microsoft Excel
  • Completion and maintaining of staff training documents
  • Maintaining customs records

Key Skills:

  • Strong Administration Experience
  • A good level of maths for calculations
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to retain accuracy levels under pressure
  • Computer literate, confident in using Microsoft packages
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal
  • Any Customs knowledge would be advantageous but not essential

We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our Customs Department providing administrative support to our Customs team with shipments to Northern Ireland, customs declarations and clearance. This is a fantastic chance to be trained to HMRC levels and learn new skill sets on the job, taught by experienced custom colleagues. This will be a temporary position. A successful candidate is expected to work on a rota basis covering 5 days out of 7, including bank holidays and weekends, due to the demands of the business. If covering NI (Northern Ireland shipments), you would be expected to start no later than 8:30am.

The Day To Day Role Will Be Responsible For
