We are supporting a large, established organisation operating within the financial services sector with the appointment of an experienced CRS & HMRC Regulatory Reporting Analyst.

This is a specialist contract opportunity focused on international tax compliance, CRS due diligence, entity classification and HMRC regulatory reporting.

The role

You will be responsible for supporting accurate and compliant reporting under HMRC International Exchange of Information (IEIM) guidance and the OECD Common Reporting Standard (CRS).

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Applying HMRC IEIM guidance and OECD CRS requirements
  • Classifying Financial Institutions and Non-Financial Entities, including identifying controlling persons
  • Completing CRS due diligence across new and pre-existing customer accounts
  • Reviewing and validating tax self-certifications
  • Preparing, validating and supporting submissions using HMRC XML schemas and reporting portals
  • Reconciling regulatory data and identifying data-quality or reporting issues
  • Maintaining robust audit trails and supporting HMRC compliance reviews
  • Ensuring sensitive customer, financial and tax data is handled appropriately

What we're looking for

You will have strong hands-on experience within CRS and HMRC regulatory reporting, ideally gained within banking, payments, fintech or another highly regulated financial services environment.

  • Strong knowledge of HMRC IEIM guidance and OECD CRS regulations
  • Practical CRS due diligence and entity-classification experience
  • Experience reviewing and validating tax self-certifications
  • Experience with XML-based HMRC regulatory submissions
  • Awareness of CRS 2.0 and upcoming reporting requirements
  • Strong data analysis, reconciliation and quality-assurance capability
  • Good understanding of regulatory controls, audit requirements and data privacy

This would suit an experienced regulatory reporting or tax compliance professional who can quickly step into a complex environment and operate with a high degree of autonomy.
