CrowdStrike Firewall Engineer – Outside IR35 Contract – £500/day – London/Remote
An excellent contract opportunity has arisen for a skilled CrowdStrike Firewall Consultant to join a leading organisation on a major security improvement project. This contract role offers £500 per day, is outside IR35, and will run for an initial period of 6 months, with strong likelihood of extension based on project needs.
The CrowdStrike Firewall Engineer will take ownership of a full end-to-end deployment of CrowdStrike Firewall across Windows Servers and Windows 11 laptops and desktops. The main objective of the project is to improve network security while ensuring system stability and business continuity throughout the implementation process.
The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing inbound and outbound network traffic across the organisation’s server and desktop estate. Using this analysis, you will build, test, and refine firewall rules in monitoring mode, carefully evaluating their impact before full deployment. You will act as the technical lead, managing troubleshooting, risk mitigation and remediation to ensure the safe and effective rollout of CrowdStrike Firewall across the business.
You must have proven experience implementing CrowdStrike Firewall within live enterprise environments, including deep knowledge of Windows Server environments and Windows 11 desktop operating systems. A strong understanding of network defence, micro-segmentation, ports and protocols, and network interconnectivity is essential. In addition, you will require hands-on experience using CrowdStrike Query Language (FQL), combined with excellent problem-solving, documentation and communication skills. The ability to work independently and deliver against defined project milestones is critical.
Experience with Fortinet SD-WAN solutions, particularly in conjunction with CrowdStrike deployments, would be highly desirable but not essential. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with the majority of work carried out remotely.
If you are an experienced CrowdStrike Firewall Consultant looking for a long-term contract opportunity, with proven skills in security implementation, network defence and system hardening, this role offers an excellent opportunity to deliver real impact in a complex enterprise environment.
