Summary: The Credit Strat Associate Director role focuses on leading the transformation of Credit and Capital Management (CCM) within a commercial banking context. The position involves partnering with product specialists to optimize credit models and implement an industry-leading credit platform. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide commercially driven thought leadership into the design and calibration of the relevant credit framework.
- Partner with client-facing teams in the design of capital & resource-efficient products ensuring the tooling is available to monitor the performance of those products.
- Support efforts to drive culture change across the organization to embed quantitative tooling into increasingly automated processes.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders within CCM, Group Risk Analytics, and wider stakeholders across Global Businesses and Global Functions.
- Act as trusted advisors, partnering with stakeholders and providing constructive challenge.
- Contribute towards the Strats “hub organization” approach by sharing SME expertise and connecting disparate teams.
- Demonstrate strong communication and influencing skills across peers, management, and colleagues.
- Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks, escalating for support as required.
- Influence priorities of collaborating teams and stakeholders to ensure projects are executed on plan.

Key Skills:
- Minimum of 5-10 years broad-based banking experience in financial services, preferably in credit, rates, or cash management markets.
- Strong commercial acumen and execution capabilities, with experience in a Strats/quant/analytics/data function.
- Experience with financial data and data analytics.
- Motivated quick thinker with innovative problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience of preparing and presenting recommendations to senior management.

Role Purpose
Credit and Capital Management (CCM) is on an exciting journey and embarking on a multi-year transformation journey. We are uplifting technology and capability and will be supporting the Commercial Banking business to grow their customer base by 500k, grow revenues and creating front office capacity by delivering capabilities to allow clients to self-serve credit products and by moving 60% of todays’ judgmental lending volumes into an automated or assisted workflow.
The Credit Strat AD. will partner with Product specialists across the regions – especially within CCM and Group Risk Analytics – to ensure models are optimized to serve the CMB franchise and structural market conditions in each region; and lead workstream(s) to drive the build of an industry leading credit platform within the Felis Wholesale Analytics Platform. This will include working in cross-functional teams to implement changes to the technology stack. Further, the role holder will help deliver a global program to build and utilize a set of tools that leverage capital models to optimize our business strategy and understand the risk profile at a deeper level. You will be required to deliver strong thought leadership and best-in-class credit analytics that will support the frontline in delivering ambitious revenue uplift targets, leverage capital models to optimize business strategy, and enable deeper understanding of the credit risk profile.
