Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess business lending applications for new and existing customers
  • Analyse financial statements and supporting documentation
  • Conduct customer investigations and gather additional information where required
  • Monitor active lending portfolios and identify potential risks
  • Support recovery and collections activities when necessary
  • Partner with Risk, Legal and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to policy
  • Collaborate with Sales and Account Management teams to support customer acquisition and retention
  • Maintain accurate reporting and process documentation
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, operational efficiency and customer experience

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience within a financial institution, fintech, payments provider or lending organisation
  • Experience performing credit assessments and underwriting decisions
  • Strong financial analysis capability including review of financial statements
  • Experience within commercial lending, SME lending, credit operations or risk operations
  • Strong investigative and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with commercial and operational stakeholders

We are partnering with a globally recognised fintech organisation that is transforming how small businesses access financial services. Their lending and risk team plays a critical role in helping businesses access capital while maintaining a strong and responsible risk framework.
