Summary: The role of Credit Risk Analyst involves monitoring credit exposure and ensuring synchronization of trading and credit systems within a multinational energy corporation specializing in oil and gas. The analyst will negotiate credit provisions, collaborate with various departments, and assist in resolving non-payments while engaging in special projects. This position requires a proactive approach to managing credit limits and understanding market changes affecting creditworthiness. The contract is rolling for a duration of six months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor credit exposure through various trading and credit systems and ensure all systems are synchronized for credit limits.
  • Negotiate credit provisions for agreements and collateral, including evaluation and management of approval processes for extended payment terms.
  • Work closely with traders, legal, contracts, accounting, and external customers to understand business needs.
  • Assist Finance in resolving non-payments and formulate plans for resolution using credit contacts.
  • Provide backup support for other credit analysts as required.
  • Engage in special projects and lead global and local initiatives where applicable.
  • Review and approve customer credit limits and prepare recommendations for credit lines above authority.
  • Track market changes related to counterparty and industry developments impacting creditworthiness.
  • Report and interpret credit reports to keep management informed of exposure and risk.
  • Manage the Margining process with other credit analysts.
