Credit Risk Analyst

Summary: The Credit Risk Analyst role is pivotal in driving strategic decisions and risk management within the financial markets. This position involves preparing risk reports, conducting data analysis, and modernizing reporting processes to enhance decision-making. The role is based in Basildon, within a collaborative workspace in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Credit Risk Team in the preparation and circulation of regular risk reporting.
• Ensure timely filing of reports, conduct quality checks & validation, and assist in report formatting and data analysis for ad hoc requests.
• Modernise the Risk Reporting suite by leveraging enterprise standard data repositories and creating dynamic visualisations.
• Conduct routine data quality checks, identifying discrepancies to investigate and resolve.
• Contribute to process improvements within the reporting function with a continual improvement mindset.
• Use insights derived from reporting to inform decision-making on Risk & Business Strategy.

Key Skills:

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
• Experience with visualisation tools such as Power BI or QlikSense.
• Familiarity with financial markets or risk management concepts.
• A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or relevant experience in Risk, Data, or Financial Services.
