Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of credit controllers
  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, including sharing and updating aged debt reports
  • Allocate cash receipts and cheques
  • Manage debt recovery actions where necessary
  • Ensure up-to-date and transparent information for relevant managers and directors
  • Collaborate with the Invoicing and accounts payable team
  • Chase queries and follow up where required
  • Manage the Dunning Process on a weekly basis
  • Review and report on collection progress across all regions weekly
  • Implement escalation processes, both internally and externally
  • Effectively manage a team of Credit Controllers, including mentorship and task delegation
  • Regularly review each ledger and set targets to reduce debtor days
  • Chase customers daily by phone and email, building excellent relationships to maximize cash collection

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience as a Credit Control Team Leader/Manager
  • Proficient in Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
  • Ability to commute full-time to the office in Blackburn
  • Willingness to consider a 6-month contract initially
