Summary: The role is for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) within the Drug & Alcohol Team on the Isle of Wight, offering a locum position with flexible hours. The position involves conducting mental health assessments, developing care plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The contract is ongoing for three months, with a focus on providing high-quality care to individuals with substance misuse issues. The role requires current NMC registration and prior experience in drug and alcohol services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting mental health assessments and risk evaluations for individuals with drug and alcohol dependencies.
  • Developing and implementing personalised care and treatment plans.
  • Medication management and participation in duty rotas.
  • Caring for a caseload and providing continuity of care.
  • Overseeing students and supporting their learning and development.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including addiction specialists and social workers.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed clinical records in line with compliance standards.

Key Skills:

  • Current and valid NMC registration and PIN.
  • Prior experience working within drug and alcohol services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary (Rate): 26.50
