Summary: The Couture Coordinator role at Vivienne Westwood is a junior position focused on supporting the Bridal and Couture Department. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, assisting with cataloguing, research, and various projects related to couture and bridal fashion. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with potential for extension, emphasizing collaboration and proactive planning. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects while working closely with design and atelier teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pro-active planner and helping partner for senior management and the studio team.
- Cataloguing and coding of the Archive pieces and clients orders items, using PLMflex and SAP systems.
- Conduct ad hoc research (i.e. fabrics, trends, market research, etc) to assist CT/MTO with any projects at hand.
- Create and upkeep seasonal fabric folders and fabric swatches/hangers.
- Create graphic content such as mood boards and look-books.
- Lease with fabric suppliers for Couture fabric research and purchases and log information in the Couture master chart.
- General studio space upkeep (tidy and organize fabrics, trimmings, documents, etc).
- Prepare fabric swatches for send out to clients/stores.
- Record making time and material costs to assist Couture managers in the creation of price lists and clients’ quotes.
- Documenting the ‘Making Of’ for both bridal and couture for ad-hoc projects.
- POs request for Couture fabric orders.
- Create codes in PLM/SAP for collection styles, archives and samples.
- Assist with samples Press call-out requests.
- Assist Couture Managers and Product Developer with any required task.
- Assist during in house fittings.
- Assist the team during editorials, photoshoots, events.
- Attend meetings and contribute ideas to enhance project outcomes.
- Complete assigned tasks within deadlines.
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work well individually and within a team.
- Booking garments in and out, keeping track of sends outs and locations of gowns, working with Fashion GPS system for all garments sent out and received in.
- Arranging and following up on shipments making sure they arrive in a timely manner.
Key Skills:
- 2 years of experience.
- Experience working with SAP and PLM essential.
- Planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
- Understanding of Couture fabrication.
