The Role
Reporting into the senior leadership team, you'll lead the commercial relationship with Ireland's leading grocery retailers and symbol groups, developing long-term partnerships that deliver sustainable growth.
You'll take ownership of Joint Business Plans, commercial negotiations, category development, promotional planning and customer strategy while continually identifying opportunities to expand product listings and grow market share.
You'll work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Category and Technical teams to ensure outstanding execution across every customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage strategic relationships with Ireland's leading grocery retailers and convenience groups.
- Develop and deliver Joint Business Plans (JBPs) that drive profitable growth.
- Lead annual commercial negotiations including pricing, promotions and investment agreements.
- Identify new category, product and distribution opportunities across existing customers.
- Secure new listings, promotional activity and improved shelf presence.
- Work closely with Category teams to create compelling customer propositions using market insight.
- Deliver accurate sales forecasting and commercial planning.
- Monitor commercial performance, profitability and promotional return on investment.
- Collaborate across the wider business to successfully launch new products and customer initiatives
What We're Looking For
You'll already have a strong track record managing major grocery accounts within FMCG.
More importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys the commercial side of the business-building relationships, negotiating, solving problems and constantly looking for new opportunities to grow sales.
Your Background
- Significant National Account Management or Key Account Management experience within FMCG.
- Experience managing major Irish grocery retailers.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with ownership of customer P&L.
- Proven success negotiating Joint Business Plans and annual commercial agreements.
- Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills.
- Strong negotiation skills with the confidence to lead high-value customer discussions.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Marketing, Category and Finance.
- A proactive mindset with a genuine passion for identifying new commercial opportunities.
Why This Opportunity?
This is an opportunity to join a successful Irish business where commercial decisions happen quickly, ideas are welcomed and entrepreneurial thinking is genuinely valued.
You'll have real autonomy, significant customer ownership and the ability to make a measurable impact on the future growth of the retail division.
If you're an ambitious National Account Manager looking for broader responsibility-or an experienced commercial leader who enjoys developing business rather than simply maintaining accounts-we'd welcome a confidential conversation.
