Summary: In the role of Counter Terrorism Case Officer, you will manage Prevent referrals in accordance with national policy, ensuring thorough documentation of case management actions and decisions. Your responsibilities will include attending Channel Panel meetings to provide assessments and develop case management plans aimed at reducing risk and safeguarding individuals. A strong ability to communicate complex and sensitive information to diverse groups is essential, alongside a solid understanding of current counter-terrorism strategies and legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Prevent referrals in line with national policy.
  • Ensure case management actions and decisions are recorded.
  • Attend Channel Panel meetings to provide relevant information and assessments.

Information About The Role

In this role, you will manage Prevent referrals in line with National policy, ensuring case management actions and decisions are recorded. You will attend Channel Panel meetings to provide relevant information and assessments to assist effective decisions and develop case management plans, plus undertake relevant actions from the Panels to reduce risk and safeguard subjects. You will be required to have the ability to communicate complex and sensitive subject matter to large and diverse groups. In addition, you will have a working knowledge of the current CT strategy, Counter Terrorism and Security Act 2015, Channel Programme and Prevent strategy.
