Summary: This role is for a Corporate Lawyer within the legal department of a fast-paced assets platform, offering a temporary position. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various commercial contracts while providing legal advice on product design and regulatory matters. The position requires a qualified lawyer with relevant experience in corporate or finance law, particularly in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including client agreements, trading agreements, vendor agreements, technology agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Provide legal advice that supports the design and implementation of new products.
- Advise on the regulatory aspects of cross-border client and counterparty relationships.
- Monitor and advise on regulatory developments that may impact the business strategy.
- Advise on corporate and governance matters.
Key Skills:
- Qualified as a lawyer to practice in the UK or similar qualification.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in corporate or finance law.
- Experience reviewing and drafting contracts.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, often with a high level of ambiguity and change.
- Experience gained both in established as well as high-growth or start-up companies would be advantageous, but is not necessary.
- Experience in financial services, ideally in a trading or execution business.

Legal Counsel Responsibilities
