Summary: The Corporate Intern - Credit Loss Stress Testing position at First Citizens Bank offers a summer internship that combines hands-on work experience with professional development opportunities. Key Responsibilities:
- Learn about the importance of Credit Loss Stress Testing to the banking system
- Create reports to analyze stress testing model results
- Perform analysis on loan portfolios to understand their key risk characteristics
- Impact a high visibility project for a Large Financial Institution
- Be part of a dynamic team with interesting projects
- Accountabilities can include research, analytics, projects, strategy, process review and improvement, as well as technology enhancements and support
- Attend professional development sessions, informational sessions, networking and community service events
- Have a dedicated manager and program manager to help navigate the bank and the internship program
- Be assigned a project designed to improve a specific process or solve a problem, to be presented at the close of the internship
- Prepare a wrap-up presentation to be shared with the division leader and other key stakeholders
Key Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience
- Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution
- Ability to work 40 hours per week during the program
- Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Finance or Economics
- Experience with analytical tools such as Python (Pandas), SAS, or Excel
- Experience working with reporting tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, SQL, etc.
- Rising Senior or pursuing an Advanced degree
- 3.0 minimum GPA
- Strong desire to learn and grow
- Positive attitude, naturally curious, and enjoys collaborating with others
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
