Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain, and refine complex three-statement financial models, including LBO and project finance structures, to support M&A and capital planning initiatives.
  • Support capital raising activities across senior debt and equity, providing modelling and analytical support for structuring decisions.
  • Maintain and improve the long-range planning model, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and flexibility to reflect evolving business scenarios.
  • Deliver robust outputs from financial models, including sensitivities, assumptions documentation, and presentation-ready materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across finance and strategy teams to support transactions, business cases, and wider strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure strong model governance, documentation, and version control to uphold analytical integrity and best-practice standards.
  • Operate at pace within a fast-moving, private equity-backed environment where financial modelling is central to decision-making.

Key Skills:

  • A background in corporate finance, investment banking, transaction services, or a strategic FP&A role in a high-growth business.
  • Proven experience developing detailed financial models, particularly for debt-funded acquisitions and LBOs.
  • A strong understanding of capital structure, valuation, and transaction modelling in a corporate environment.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Prior interim experience is helpful, though not essential.

Cedar is currently partnered with a private equity-backed technology and infrastructure business to secure an Interim Corporate Finance Analyst. The role is a 6-month contract initially, paying a day rate between £500-700 per day, depending on experience.

The Role
