Summary: The Corporate Actions Associate role at an established financial firm in London involves managing corporate actions and dividend processes while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. The position requires oversight of placing events, resolution of operational challenges, and maintaining accurate records. The associate will also engage in risk management, process improvements, and mentorship within the team. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process corporate actions, dividends, and related claims while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee primary and secondary placing events and address operational challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of all corporate events and investigate reconciliation discrepancies.
- Escalate issues as needed and foster strong relationships with clients, custodians, and stakeholders.
- Contribute to risk management efforts and support process improvements through automation and technology.
- Assist in the implementation of operational efficiencies and take ownership of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system changes.
- Compile management reports and provide mentorship to colleagues while promoting an inclusive work environment.
Key Skills:
- 3+ years experience in Corporate Actions.
- Strong understanding of corporate actions, the trade lifecycle, and implications on corporate events.
- Expertise in risk management and control frameworks.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks, including CASS rules.
