About The Role We have an opportunity for a committed and experienced library professional to join our team. Reporting to the Manager Library and Museum Services, the Coordinator Library Outreach and Programs will lead the planning and delivery of library programs and outreach services for the library. This is a leadership role within the service, responsible for a multi-disciplinary team of 7 staff. Responsibilities include Children’s, Youth, Seniors, Adult and Multicultural programs, Home Library Service and library communications. This role will undertake desk shifts across the service as required, including evening and weekend work. The position is based at the award winning Yellamundie Library and Gallery, Liverpool Civic Place.
About You Completion of degree or Post Graduate level adult education and/or library and information studies, conferring eligibility for associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) Experience in a range of roles at a supervisory level within public libraries. Including supervision of professional staff and budget management. Demonstrated ability to activate libraries with innovative and community inclusive programming. Experience in producing communication for a wide range of audiences and formats. Experience in ensuring quality standards for programs, resolving issues, reviewing processes and measuring outcomes. Experience in devising and implementing new programs, including need analysis, resource planning and communication. Experience in identifying and evaluating training needs of staff and developing and implementing training programs for staff Class C Drivers Licence.
