Summary: The Controls Systems Engineer role is a contract position based in Manchester, requiring extensive experience in control system engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automated systems and proficiency in Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs. This position offers a competitive hourly rate and is classified as outside of IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement control systems for automated systems such as baggage handling lines, conveyors, or palletisers.
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for automated systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Utilize Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs in system design and troubleshooting.
- Provide technical support and expertise in control systems engineering across various industries.
Key Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in Control System Engineering.
- Experience with automated systems (baggage handling, conveyors, palletisers).
- Proficient in Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs.
- Minimum HNC qualification; HND is advantageous.
- Experience in FAT and SAT delivery for automated systems.
- Demonstrated experience in various industries including water management, FMCG, airport baggage handling, and building automation.
