Summary: The DeltaV Specialist role involves supporting the commissioning phase of a major project for a leading biopharmaceutical manufacturing organization. The position requires expertise in DeltaV configuration and software engineering, with responsibilities extending beyond loop checking to include troubleshooting and collaboration with various teams. The successful candidate will ensure the effective delivery and startup of process control systems in a GMP-regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the commissioning and startup of DeltaV systems within a GMP-regulated environment
- Perform and review DeltaV configuration, including modules, phases, and equipment modules
- Troubleshoot and resolve control system and software-related issues during commissioning
- Collaborate with engineering, validation, and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Execute and support testing activities (FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ as required)
- Ensure all work complies with GxP and industry standards
- Provide technical input and documentation to support system handover
Key Skills:
- Proven experience working with Emerson DeltaV systems
- Strong background in configuration and control system software engineering
- Demonstrable experience supporting commissioning activities on complex projects
- Ability to troubleshoot and modify live systems in a controlled manner
- Experience working in pharmaceutical or biotech environments (highly desirable)
- Strong understanding of GMP / GxP compliance
- Experience with batch processes and S88 standards
- Previous involvement in large-scale capital projects
- Familiarity with validation lifecycle documentation

We are supporting a leading biopharmaceutical manufacturing organisation with a requirement for an experienced DeltaV Specialist to support the commissioning phase of a major project.
This role requires a strong background in DeltaV configuration and software engineering, and is not limited to loop checking activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery and startup of process control systems.
