Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, configuration, and integration of BMS and EMS systems
  • Work across multiple data centre projects providing remote technical support
  • Assist with commissioning, testing, and optimisation of control systems
  • Interface with site teams, commissioning engineers, and project stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot and resolve controls-related issues across live environments
  • Support energy monitoring, reporting, and system performance improvements
  • Review technical documentation, drawings, and control strategies
  • Ensure systems align with project specifications and client requirements
  • Provide input into system upgrades, improvements, and innovation initiatives

Key Skills:

  • Strong background in BMS / EMS / Controls Engineering
  • Experience working on data centre or mission-critical projects
  • Knowledge of HVAC controls, electrical systems, and automation
  • Experience with systems such as Trend, Tridium, Siemens, Schneider, or similar
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
  • Comfortable working remotely while supporting multiple projects
  • Good communication skills and ability to engage with site teams

CONTROLS / BMS / EMS ENGINEER – UK (REMOTE/ PART TIME)

£375 – £425 per day (Outside IR35) | 2–3 Days per week| Contract or Permanent Option

We are working with a leading engineering delivery specialist who are supporting over 40 live data centre projects across the UK and are looking to appoint an experienced Controls / BMS / EMS Engineer.

This is a flexible opportunity offering a hybrid working model (2–3 days remote) with the option to remain on contract or transition into a permanent role long-term. You will play a key role in supporting the design, integration, and optimisation of BMS and EMS systems across multiple live and upcoming data centre projects.
