Summary: The role of Control Systems Engineer involves delivering industrial automation projects in ATEX and safety-critical environments. The position requires strong PLC experience, particularly with Siemens and/or Allen Bradley systems, and full project lifecycle expertise. The contract is initially for 12 months with a likelihood of extension, and the role is hybrid based in Greater Manchester. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver industrial automation projects in ATEX/safety-critical environments.
  • Utilize strong PLC experience with Siemens (TIA Portal/S7) and/or Allen Bradley (ControlLogix/CompactLogix).
  • Manage full project lifecycle including design, development, testing, and commissioning.
  • Work independently in a contract role.

Key Skills:

  • Strong PLC experience with Siemens and/or Allen Bradley.
  • Proven experience in ATEX environments (Water, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Pharm or similar).
  • Full project lifecycle experience.
  • Desirable: Experience supplying systems into the US.
  • Familiarity with US standards (NEC, NFPA, UL, ISA).
