Summary: The Control-M Application SME role is a hands-on position focused on managing and optimizing BMC Control-M workload automation solutions within a global enterprise environment. The role requires expertise in Control-M administration, job scheduling, and incident resolution, with an emphasis on technical discussions during the interview process. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate their experience with Control-M upgrades and migrations, as well as their ability to troubleshoot and ensure compliance with audit standards. This position is hybrid, requiring three days per week onsite in Sheffield, UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, maintain, and optimise Control-M environments (EM, Server, Agents).
- Create, schedule, and monitor batch jobs; troubleshoot failures and ensure SLA compliance.
- Validate upgrade packages and conduct regression testing.
- Coordinate global change implementation following change management processes.
- Provide post-upgrade technical support.
- Handle agent-level issues, restarts, housekeeping, and job failures.
- Support migration from legacy platforms to Control-M and integrate with enterprise applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Ensure adherence to audit and security standards; produce SOPs and deliver training where required.
Key Skills:
- Strong expertise in BMC Control-M (EM, Server, Agents).
- Proven experience with Control-M upgrades and migrations in large-scale, multi-region environments.
- Hands-on troubleshooting and scheduling experience.
