Contracts Manager - Super Prime

Posted 5 days ago by Jackson Young Ltd

The Role

The Contracts Manager will take responsibility for a number of projects and Project Managers, providing senior operational leadership while ensuring projects are delivered to the standards expected within the super-prime residential market.

Depending on workload and the individual appointed, there is also the potential to retain direct operational responsibility for one of the company's larger projects alongside the wider Contracts Manager role.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing a portfolio of super-prime residential projects across Central London
  • Managing, supporting and developing Project Managers and their respective project teams
  • Maintaining oversight of programme, procurement, design, quality and commercial performance
  • Providing senior-level input and direction where projects require additional support
  • Ensuring projects are appropriately resourced and identifying potential issues at an early stage
  • Working closely with the commercial team to maintain strong financial control across projects
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with clients, architects, consultants and other key stakeholders
  • Taking an active role during pre-construction and the transition of projects into the delivery phase
  • Helping to maintain the company's reputation for quality, professionalism and dependable project delivery
  • Potentially taking direct operational responsibility for a significant project alongside the wider portfolio

The Person

This is a senior appointment and the successful candidate will ideally already be operating at Contracts Manager level, or be a highly experienced Project Manager ready to make the move into a broader operational role.

A background with another recognised super-prime residential main contractor is strongly preferred.

You should have experience delivering complex residential projects in Prime Central London and understand the standards of finish, service and discretion expected by UHNW private clients and their professional teams.

Just as importantly, the company is looking for someone who is highly client-focused, commercially aware and capable of building long-term relationships.

With a substantial proportion of work negotiated, the way projects are managed and relationships maintained is extremely important to the continued success of the business.

You will need to be comfortable supporting and challenging experienced Project Managers while remaining sufficiently hands-on to become involved when a project requires senior operational input.

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of London's established super-prime contractors in a senior position with genuine long-term prospects.
