The Role
Working closely with the Operations Manager and Project Managers, you'll provide autonomous management and engineering support across assigned schemes.
You'll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, to programme and to the required quality standards, whilst developing strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and delivery teams.
You will be involved in:
- Managing the safe delivery of assigned works
- Leading and developing site and project teams
- Client and stakeholder management
- Reviewing RAMS, CPPs and project documentation
- Site visits, pre-tender assessments and reporting
- Temporary works coordination and management
- Quality management, including ITPs
- Supporting project teams with drawings, specifications and engineering requirements
What we're looking for
We're keen to speak with experienced Contracts Managers from a highways, civil engineering, drainage or National Highways background.
You'll ideally have:
HNC/HND in Civil Engineering
CSCS Manager Card
SMSTS
Previous Contracts Management experience within highways/civils
Strong leadership and client management skills
Good understanding of engineering principles, quality and H&S
Confidence using MS Project
Location: Yorkshire & North East, with travel across project sites locally
