Summary: The role of Interim Contract Manager involves overseeing contractor relationships and ensuring high-quality, budget-conscious work for a leading Social Housing provider in the West Midlands. This position is a 4-month contract with the possibility of extension, requiring full-time commitment and a mix of on-site and remote work. The successful candidate will lead on maintenance issues, regulatory compliance, and health and safety responsibilities while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders. Experience in social housing and contractor management is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on all reactive maintenance issues, ensuring swift, cost-effective solutions
- Lead on regulatory standards, compliancy and health and safety responsibilities
- Build strong, lasting relationships with scheme-based staff, partners and tenants as their trusted senior point of contact
- Ensure all properties comply with health & safety and legal obligations
- Manage contractor relationships, maintaining high-quality, budget-conscious work
- Oversee effective and efficient void works to reduce void periods and ensure our ready-to-let standard is maintained
- Drive process improvements, draft and review key policies, helping refine and elevate service delivery
- Provide reports on activity, progress and compliance of repairs, maintenance and health and safety against key performance indicators
Key Skills:
- Strong experience within repairs, voids, planned works etc
- Is confident working with external contractors and maintaining relationships
- Can assess risk, challenge appropriately and provide assurance to senior stakeholders
- Cares about resident experience and understands the importance of quality homes
- Social housing experience
- Similar experience in previous post

As an Interim Contract Manager you will be responsible for maintaining and managing contractor relationships and high quality budget conscious work.
What’s on offer:
- Rate: £30-£35 per hour
- Contract: 4-month interim assignment (potential for extension)
- Working pattern: Full-time (36 hours)
- Flexibility: Monday-Thursday on site and in office, Friday work from home
