Contract: Technical Security Product Lead - Reading (Hybrid 3 days per week) - 6 months
Summary: In the role of Technical Security Product Lead, you will provide technical leadership across security services, ensuring high-quality outcomes through collaboration with various teams. Your responsibilities will include overseeing security operations, managing incidents, and driving service improvements aligned with business objectives. This position requires a strong background in cyber security and technical leadership, with a focus on operational excellence. The role is hybrid, requiring three days per week in Reading for an initial six-month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical oversight and assurance across security operations services and delivery teams.
- Review security service outcomes to ensure adherence to best practices and operational standards.
- Oversee incident response and crisis management activities, supporting governance and escalation processes.
- Coordinate major security incidents and provide reporting to senior business and technical stakeholders.
- Manage demand intake, prioritisation, and service allocation across security teams.
- Support onboarding and delivery of new security service requests and enhancements.
- Drive continuous improvement across security services, processes, and operational delivery.
- Manage service backlogs, operational queues, and stakeholder expectations.
- Monitor service performance, KPIs, and quality metrics.
- Support capacity planning and demand forecasting activities.
Key Skills:
- 7-10+ years of experience in technical leadership, security operations, software delivery, or technology leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of cyber security operations, service delivery, and security governance.
- Experience working with cloud technologies and architectures (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Strong technical background in software development, system design, and enterprise technology platforms.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments and modern development methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership capability.
- Experience leading technical teams and driving delivery across complex environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance operational and strategic priorities.
