Summary: As a Contract Supervisor at Smart Managed Solutions, you will oversee and manage engineering assets to ensure seamless operations without unplanned disruptions. The role involves managing reactive works, developing management tools for performance reporting, and ensuring compliance with safety practices. You will also be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with staff, subcontractors, and clients while ensuring a safe working environment. This position is integral to delivering high-quality Facilities Management services in commercial and educational sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all engineering assets to support business operations without unplanned disruptions.
- Oversee the reactive works process to ensure timely responses and closures.
- Develop management tools for reporting on asset and building performance.
- Upload quotes for client approval and ensure reactive tasks are completed within SLA.
- Attend daily morning meetings and submit weekly staff and subcontractor rotas on time.
- Compile monthly reports for management and clients.
- Ensure routine PPM is carried out on all electrical/mechanical plant as per schedules.
- Proactively highlight areas for improvement in reactive tasks.
- Maintain inventory of suitable spares for maintenance and reactive works.
- Keep Computer Based Maintenance systems updated and ensure accurate data capture.
- Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for safe working practices.
- Foster good working relationships with staff, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Ensure a safe and healthy working environment, including proper uniform and PPE usage.
- Maintain cleanliness and security of plant rooms under Smart's responsibility.

Purpose As a Contract Supervisor at Smart Managed Solutions, you will operate and manage all engineering assets to support the business with no unplanned disruptions in the most cost-effective manner. Manage reactive works process to ensure requests are responded to and closed out in accordance with agreed procedures. To develop management tools to actively report on asset and building performance and make recommendations for improvement.
Working Pattern Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00
Key Tasks And Responsibilities All quotes are uploaded to web quote for client approval and reactive tasks are closed within the set SLA period. Attend daily morning meeting with the team. Weekly Staff & Sub contractor rota is completed and submitted to the client on time. Making sure good engineering practices are followed. Compile a monthly report for your managers and the client. Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all electrical / mechanical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists. Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the building are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made. Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts inventory and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works. Ensure Computer Based Maintenance system, e.g., eLogbook’s, Concept and Smart Hub, is kept up to date and that PPM and reactive tickets are closed out with accurate data captured. Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices at all times. To develop a good working relationship with all members of Smart staff, subcontractors and the client representatives. Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To include ensuring all engineers are wearing of uniform and PPE. Ensure that all plant rooms under the responsibility of Smart are locked always and are kept in a clean and tidy condition.
