Summary: The role of Contract Sr DevOps Engineer involves building a new cloud-based infrastructure for a company in the Supply Chain Transformation sector. This position offers complete autonomy over the technologies and processes used in a greenfield project. The engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing environments from scratch, with a focus on Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) – Terraform
- Proven background in cloud infrastructure design and build (Azure, AWS or GCP)
- Experience designing and implementing new environments from scratch (not just maintaining existing systems)
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and release management
- Exposure to GitHub and GitHub Actions would be advantageous
- Kubernetes / AKS exposure desirable but not essential
Key Skills:
- Ability to work from the ground up on a completely greenfield project
- Excellent communication, teamwork skills & ability to collaborate across teams
- Proven project experience working on greenfield projects from the ground up
- Comfortable in a client facing role, adhering to deadlines and firefighting if needed
- Able to make technical decisions on the acquisition of new tools & technologies
- Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to track a technical budget

We’re looking for a Contract DevOps Engineer to help build a brand new cloud based environment for a company in the Supply Chain Transformation sector.
