Summary: The role of a Senior .NET Engineer involves designing, developing, and optimizing backend solutions for complex financial applications within a leading FinTech company in London. The position requires collaboration in a hybrid work environment, focusing on delivering scalable and secure solutions. Candidates should have strong backend development skills, particularly in C# and .NET, along with experience in Azure and SQL Server. Familiarity with front-end tools like Angular is a plus but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend applications using C#, .NET, and Azure.
- Leverage Microsoft SQL Server services (database, integration services, reporting services) and write complex T-SQL stored procedures.
- Implement design patterns such as Factory, Adapter, and Chain of Responsibility to ensure clean and maintainable code.
- Utilise Object Relational Mappers (ORMs) like Entity Framework for efficient database interaction.
- Work with Test Driven Development (TDD) practices to ensure high-quality code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable and secure solutions.
- Optimize database performance with database tuning (bonus).
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in backend development using C# and .NET frameworks.
- Strong expertise in Azure cloud technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server services (database, integration services, reporting services).
- Advanced knowledge of T-SQL, including stored procedures.
- Familiarity with design patterns (e.g., Factory, Adapter, Chain of Responsibility).
