Contract Senior Civil Engineer

Summary: The consultancy is seeking a contract Senior Civil Engineer for their Manchester office, focusing on delivering projects across various niche sectors. Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate good development of knowledge in civil engineering and development infrastructure.
• Have awareness of construction contracts and terms of appointment; liaise with clients, stakeholders, local authorities, and highways officers.
• Be fully conversant with sectional agreements such as S38, S278, etc.
• Prepare, issue, and manage technical project information, including calculations and drawing information, in accordance with standard requirements.
• Maintain high standards of information presentation and ensure accuracy.
• Have limited responsibility for technical, financial, and managerial aspects of complete projects as directed by the line manager.

Key Skills:

• Relevant degree (ideally an accredited Masters Degree with ICE in Civil or equivalent Level 6 qualification).
• Chartered or Incorporated with relevant professional body or working towards Chartership.
• A minimum of 4 years post-graduate experience.
• Competent in relevant drawing, modelling, and experienced in the application of relevant design software.
• Strong technical knowledge of relevant legislation and standards.
• Good commercial awareness and project management skills and experience.
• Manage continuous professional development and stay updated on legislation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
