This is an initial 6-month contract with a competitive daily rate of 550 outside IR35. You will be responsible for managing the full product life cycle from discovery through to delivery, ensuring that products meet user needs and comply with secure operating requirements. The role involves working closely with government stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes on time and in line with national security protocols.This contract is ideal for an experienced product manager with expertise in secure government programmes, capable of navigating complex challenges while maintaining a clear product vision.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Ownership:Take full responsibility for the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with user needs, business objectives, and security requirements.Lead Agile teams in the development and iterative delivery of secure products, managing the product backlog and prioritising features.Stakeholder ManagementCollaborate with senior government stakeholders, technical teams, and internal groups to ensure product objectives are met.Facilitate clear and open communication between all parties, translating complex requirements into actionable product features.Security & ComplianceEnsure that all product development complies with DV-level security protocols and broader regulatory frameworks, including GDPR and data governance standards.Manage risks and challenges associated with product development in high-security environments.Agile DeliveryOversee the product delivery process, using Agile methodologies to ensure timely, iterative releases.Monitor product performance, using feedback and data-driven insights to drive continuous improvements.Essential Skills & ExperienceProduct Management Expertise:Proven experience in end-to-end product management, with a focus on secure public sector programmes requiring DV clearance.Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (eg, Scrum, Kanban) and experience managing product roadmaps and cross-functional teams.Certifications in Agile methodologies (eg, Certified Scrum Product Owner).Security & Compliance KnowledgeDemonstrated experience with security protocols and compliance in DV-cleared environments, including handling of sensitive data.Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as GDPR and data protection laws.Experience working in national security, defence, or intelligence sectors.Stakeholder LeadershipExcellent communication skills, with the ability to manage high-level stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple workstreams.Contractual DetailsRate: 550 per day, outside IR35Duration: Initial 6-month contract, with potential for extensionLocation: Hybrid, with occasional travel to London and secure locations as requiredClearance: Active DV clearance required, or willingness to undergo clearance.
