Key Responsibilities:
- Support the assigned production facility to ensure all general duty activities are completed.
- Respond to requests to visit various locations during normal and outside of working hours.
- Ensure compliance with site statutory, mechanical integrity & preventative maintenance programmes.
- Carry out routine housekeeping and preventative maintenance activities in a timely manner.
- Support corrective maintenance work associated with plant and equipment failures.
- Work with the Mechanical Maintenance team for spares parts and consumables inventory management.
- Oversee LOLER/PULER inspections onsite.
Key Skills:
- G.C.S.E Math, English and Science min grade C or equivalent experience.
- Valid driver’s licence and forklift truck/telehandler licence.
- Good interpersonal & team working skills.
- Able to work remotely and travel frequently.

POSITION SUMMARY
General Duties (GD) technician provides maintenance services to the Carrington production facility and the associated satellites. These services are primarily focused on practical work at the various production plants, including; general preventive maintenance, housekeeping and maintaining a safe working environment.

The primary role is to support the assigned production facility to ensure all general duty activities are completed. There is an expectation to respond to requests to visit the various locations during both normal and outside of normal working hours. For this type of work the technician must be completely flexible and readily available. At all times ensure that the required safety standards are adhered to.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
This position is accountable for the following end results:
Ensure that all production facilities are maintained to a safe and serviceable condition, so that they can consistently attain their performance targets
Ensure compliance to site statutory, mechanical integrity & preventative maintenance programmes
Carry out routine house-keeping and preventative maintenance activities as defined by the GD work duties schedule in a timely manner.
Support corrective maintenance work associated with plant and equipment failures (breakdowns)
Work with the Mechanical Maintenance team to ensure correct spares parts and consumables inventory management
Oversee LOLER/PULER inpections onsite

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education Requirements:
G.C.S.E Math, English and Science min grade C or Equivalent experience in a similar position
Professional Licence Requirements:
Valid driver’s licence forklift truck/telehandler licence
Skills and Experience:
Good interpersonal & team working skills (Customers, Regulators bodies, OSC operators).
Able to work remotely and able to travel frequently
Self-motivated independent worker
Able to work at pace under pressure
Experience working on industrial sites
