Summary: In this role, you will manage the operational relationships with Waitrose's Third Party Logistic (3PL) Providers and Contractors, focusing on financial, operational, and reputational risk management. You will lead transformation initiatives within the supply chain to enhance service delivery to branches and distribution centers. The position requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to foster relationships to drive performance and innovation. This is a hybrid working role with travel expectations to various sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build strong relationships with 3PLs to ensure consistently high performance supported by sharing of best practice and innovation.
• Conduct robust and effective commercial negotiations and regular contract management discussions to drive maximum network benefit.
• Develop a Contract Management team that understands the upstream and downstream impacts of their actions within the supply chain strategy.

Key Skills:

• Experience managing or leading large scale FMCG operations with 3PLs.
• Ability to manage high value outsourced grocery operations with complex commercial structures.
• Strong relationship-building skills with 3PLs and Contractors.
• Knowledge of the external grocery logistics market.
• Strong commercial awareness and experience in negotiating contractual terms with 3PLs.
