You'll be flexible to regular travel to project site if and when required

Job Purpose Support the Commercial Manager in delivering the Static Wound Equipment (SWE) Programme through contract administration, monitoring, and assisting with the tender process to ensure compliance with internal governance. Serve as the primary liaison to ensure clear communication and swift issue resolution, while supporting the Project Director and Commercial Manager to achieve programme objectives through contract oversight, change control, and commercial processes.

What You'll Do Ensure that appropriate challenge and review has been applied to project costs through benchmarking and cost assurance activities Support management to ensure commercial, contract and financial processes and procedures are adhered to, and contract compliance through effective contract management activities Develop cost reduction and improvement plans with the contracting partners, to deliver outperformance against the RIIO agreement Support the development of appropriate reporting structure to capture all elements of contractor performance and ensure consistency of reporting of these across the contract function Assure and benchmark costs of individual schemes, compensation events and risk drawdowns, ensuring timely authorisations and control of risk allowances. Facilitate the cost review process, by chairing meetings, reviewing papers, managing and evaluating cost reports Communicate contractor performance analysis internally and externally Identify and implement opportunities to further develop the suite of benchmarking tools to support the continuous improvement of contractor performance Provide contract support, advice, guidance and contract management training to Project Delivery teams as required and where appropriate the Contracting Partners

About You Good stakeholder management skills and ability to build strong relationships across multiple teams quickly Experience of working in Contract Management role and / or working with NEC3 and NEC4 terms and conditions Knowledge of Electricity Transmission would be beneficial Experience of successful multiple project delivery Good commercial acumen, including procurement and supply chain experience / knowledge Able to demonstrate initiative, sound judgment and problem solving Ability to bring creative and innovative new approaches to the business
